I just started flagging ProFlowers as spam in my GMail account since they started sending me 1-2 promo emails EVERY DAY from Thanksgiving up to now (about 25 days straight). Keep flagging!

Thanks for a most comprehensive email suggestions report. What a great idea, although I don't remember ever having seen it, moving the manage emails to the top for a more focused response.

I am sure I have lost subscribers by not offering the manage option. Keeping a quick unsubscribe option is also a handy option to avoid frustrating the recipient. I am most thoughtless when sifting through my 8 accounts (12 seems impossible to manage) so like most when reading email, I will take the path of least resistance.

Im a member of lots of email marketing lists. The people i end up ignoring are the ones who only ever try to sell me something, or recommend a product which I dont think is that great....those i read religiously are the ones that constantly provide intersting and useful info...

Email marketing, especially to a responsive list (such as a list of previous buyers) can be such a good source of continuing revenue that every serious marketer should be involved in it.

Thanks very much for the tips Susan. I've just started using AWeber and have worked through many of the tutorials. I've also followed advice from a number of forums and the information people has given me seems to match what you're saying above.
Cheers.

Hey, thanks for the information. I find it very effective to alternate between sending out offers and sending out high quality information. I find I maintain high read rates and high click through rates by doing this. Most of my emails are about 500 words in length at least.

Great tips. It all goes back to deliverability. If you don't treat your subscribers with respect you'll end up with a lot of deliverability issues due to spam flags.

Nice post. Just an FYI. The CAN SPAM Act requires that we include an unsubscribe link on our mass distributed e-mails.
